<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">I was watching the news the other night as a child from Jacksonville was being torn away from the only parents he has ever known. Being sent across the country to another woman that knowingly and willingly gave this child up for adoption at birth. My heart was broken for these parents and this small child. As I sat there crying ( even though I cry at something as simply as cat food commercials), thinking to myself, "how unjust can the legal system be to a child". I wonder in whose best interest this choice really was.........It wasn't in the "child's or his parents", it wasn't in the " biological father's". It seems to me, that if the whole thing was started just because the "father" wasn't allowed a say in the adoption (somehow I cant believe the "birth mother" had not told him)then let him have supervised visitation with this little boy (makes sense since he also lives in FL) rather than send this poor little boy across country to live with a woman that he doesn't know, in which the "father" will more than likely still not see the boy. I believe that once you make the difficult choice of giving your child up for adoption, you are doing this to give this child a better life........So why would a woman turn this little ones life upside down after 3 years? This is clearly not wanting what's best for this child. I wonder am I wrong in thinking this child was abused emotionally at the very least by this woman who used the court to take this child out of the safe, loving and caring environment he called "home" and from the people that he called "momma and daddy". The government truly let this child and his parents down in my opinion, what's yours
